Acropolis of Athens and Full Moon

Corinna Saias team was in Greece in August and got to see the full moon in Athens. In ancient Greek mythology Selene (the moon) is often female and is the goddess of the moon.

The Acropolis of Athens is located above the city of Athens. The rock rises from the basin about 70 meters and levels to a flat top 300 meters long by 150 meters wide. The Acropolis of Athens and its monuments are universal symbols of the ancient Greek civilization. There are many Acropolises in Greece but the Acropolis of Athens is the best known.
